The Up armchair was born as an example of avant-garde design and stylistic research, capable of combining artistic elements with the skillful know-how of B&B Italia. Gaetano Pesce designs this piece of furniture giving it anthropomorphic connotations: a large womb aimed at remembering the votive statues of the prehistoric goddesses of fertility. The pouf sphere is also a symbol, a clear reference to a ball attached to the female foot to which the entire work is dedicated. In this project, B&B Italia summarizes artisan quality and expressive strength, breaking conventions to create a model of pure elegance and figurative comfort. Ideal in living spaces, Up lends itself to multiple uses, standing out both in domestic contexts and in more public spaces.
